8 Years of Rachna Says and a Giveaway

16^th July 2008, that day when an innocuous journal post marked the beginning of this blog that you are reading today. So yes, we celebrated her 8^th birthday yesterday. Like a little girl, she has a mind of her own and gives me immense happiness and a world of distress too as times.

This time around, I want to mark this occasion by sharing some of my happiness by spreading the gift of reading. My friend, Vinita, held a similar book giveaway when she celebrated her blog anniversary. And, I just loved the idea. What can be a better gift than books for readers? So, as possessive as I am about books, I decided to offer a few from my collection for all of you. I hope you love reading them as much as I did.

What do you have to do?

Just choose a book you like from among the photos displayed below and leave your choice as a comment.

If more than one person wants a book then Coco will decide the eventual winner after sniffing the choices. ?

I will courier your book anywhere in India only.

One person will only get one book.

I will announce the results on 1st August.

So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead, take your pick.

Congratulations Rachna.. it is so good to see the anniversary of Rachna Says and that too 8th. It is heartening that pioneer blogs of India are not only surviving but motivating others also when so many blogs just fizzle out within one year.

As for the book – sure would love to have ” The Best Indian Short Stories” 🙂

Happy birthday again to the little one :-). This is a fabulous idea and not only because I stand to gain a book. I am so depending on Coco for this. Is there doggie perfume that I can wear to tempt him to pick me? It would be the ‘Brick Lane’ if I got to choose.
