A few days back, I received Banjara’s Skin +ve Face Cream for review. When it comes to face creams, I am a bit fussy. I like a simple product that is high quality, gets absorbed quickly and leaves my face with an even finish. I currently use Olay Total Effects and not too regularly either.

But, I was curious to try this cream out. One, because Banjara’s is a reputed brand in India which is known for its natural products and two because I loved the advertisement of this product. Finally, there was a cream in the market which kicked the Fair & Lovely creams of the world and told us to feel happy in our own skins. I loved the campaign and wanted to try out the product behind it.

Banjara Skin +ve Skin Cream

The cream comes in a convenient nozzle tube which is gold and white in colour. It is priced at Rs. 100 for 40 gm.

Look and Feel

The cream is light pink in colour. It has a mild, pleasing smell of pomegranate which is mentioned as an active ingredient. It is light and non-greasy. It gets easily absorbed in the skin and gives a neat finish. I guess that is the purpose of the day cream and that works for me.

The packaging is simple and easy to carry.

The cream claims to make your skin healthy, youthful and flawless. Pomegranate, its key ingredients, promises to tighten the skin and hydrate it. It also has SPF 15 to protect from sun damage.

My verdict:

I’ve not experienced any of the benefits of the cream. But, I’ve barely been using it for a few days and like I said I don’t use face creams that regularly. Overall I liked the cream and will continue to use it as a day cream.

I was also sent a bottle of Banjara’s Skin +ve Body Lotion that I tried.

It is a similar light pink colour but is much greasier which because it is winter now, I really liked. It has a pleasing perfume of milk cream with a hint of pomegranate and turmeric smell.

It gets absorbed very easily by your skin and leaves it well nourished and shiny. It keeps your skin moisturized for hours which we all know is a challenge in winters. I really did like this body lotion and would recommend this one.

It is priced at Rs. 80 for 100 ml. It is enriched with pomegranate, honey, shea and kokum butters for a rich, luxurious feel.

It is good as a hydrating body lotion. Definitely worth a try. It may get too heavy for summers though.

Last Thoughts

Overall, both these products in the Banjara’s skin +ve range are good, economically priced and definitely worth trying.

    • No, the cream is not oil based. This one is quite non-greasy so l think you can try it. It works as a decent day cream. The lotion may be oily for you.

  8. I am not into face creams but cannot live without moisturizer. I like Banjara and have used some of its products – the neem and methi powder, henna and more recently, face wash (got it as a compliment). i agree that their products smell good. Right now I am using their hair oil and hair pack and am loving it. Good review, Rachna! As you said, I guess it takes time to feel the benefits. 🙂
