Little G: “Dad, you are great!”
Dad: “Wow! How come?’ (Feeling extremely elated)
Little G: ” You can fix any problem.” (Read gadgets, plumbing, electrical problems, furniture)
Dad beaming
Mom: “You are right. He can! What about mom?” (with an expectant look)
Little G: “You are great too!” (without batting an eyelid)
Mom: “Why is that?” (gotcha!)
Little G: “Because you are good!” (Aap achche ho!)
Speechless at how smart my little boy is ;-). He does think on his feet. He will be a hit with girls later on in life 😉

haha 😀 the little fellow sure knows how to keep both mom and dad happy.
Oh yes! He is just too smart :).
Innocent replies, profound thoughts. No cynicism, no negativity….pure love.
Most of the time, I forget to write the conversations that I have with them. But yes, you are absolutely right. They are profound, fun and are just so pure and enriching. Thank you for the comment.
Cute!
:).
A great diplomat in the making!
True :). I hope he opts for Foreign service instead of politics though ;-).
A smart boy indeed! 🙂
I am surprised at how tactful he can be at times, not always, but many times :).
Hmmm! That’s lateral thinking 🙂
Absolutely :).
Smart little fella…He knows which side his bread is buttered 🙂
I am loving the clean look of your blog.
hehe He does :). Thank you for liking the new look. I moved to self-hosted WordPress theme in January some time. I personally prefer the uncluttered feel as well.
Smart and sweet lil boy!! 🙂
Thank you :).
Very diplomatic child..He already knows the tricks of the trade..Intelligent!!
:). True!
Ha ha intelligent little boy
Thank you Jaish!
Sounds interesting. Guess conversations with children can make interesting blog posts. Another of my friend used to have detailed philosophical discussions with children and post it on the blog.
Conversations with kids can be really engaging and intriguing. They are normally guileless and they question incessantly. I do write about any interesting conversations but many times I forget some too. There was one about God that I had with my younger son. That was very telling. I had written about it in an earlier post.
😀 He knows how to keep everyone happy
Exactly, but only if he is in a good mood. Something we take a lifetime to learn ;-).
They think so much with such a small head…innocence makes them think like this, I think.
Keep writing…they are always interesting than long, detailed blogs (like mine!)!
Thank you Sandhya! Sometimes seeing a short post is a huge incentive to read :). Their innocence is so beautiful!
I agree, Rachna….hahaha…
hehe, this question every parent want an answer too, mummy jyada pasand hain ya daddy. Your son has solved that problem pretty cool!!
Pretty much! Each is special in their own way like he proved :).
Diploma in Diplomacy! 🙂
Haan poori tarah se. Abhi toh sirf chheh saal ka hi hai :).
I have 3 letters for you – IFS! It’s a great career…hehheh 🙂
Thank you for saying that and not mentioning the dreaded P word — politics :).
He is adorable 🙂
I love conversing with kids , especially ones that I don’t know well. A colleague brought her 5 y.o. daughter to the office. Me: ‘Hi there, what’s your name?’ Her: ‘Lili’. ‘So, Lili, do you like it at Mommy’s work? Are you going to be helping her today?’ ….Silence…then out of sudden ‘I only talk to my friends. I don’t talk to strangers’ Me:’Well, let’s be friends then. I’m Iliana.’ …. another silence… ‘You can’t be my friend, you are too old’ … Ouch! and LOL
LOL. Kids can be really blunt. They just don’t know how to be diplomatic and that is why it is so much fun to interact with them. I used to find it a bit hard to talk to kids. Some people are just good at striking conversations with them; I wasn’t. But when I had my own, I started finding it easier to talk to kids. It is now pretty enjoyable to talk to them and to hear their insults too once in a while ;-).
Hehe…smart fellow…last line will be very true …:P
Would be fun to see :).
I think the smartness and tact runs in the family.
Smart kids are always lovable
Thank you so much! We definitely are not that tactful at home :).
Trying to be diplomatic in his own guileless way. Too cute.
True :).
LOL! Kids are smart these days!
:).

hehe Kids are amaxong :).
heheh!! I see what you mean about our posts being similar!! He’s really good at thinking on his feet!!
These kids are way too smart :).

You are so right :).
The little things that make being parents such fun 🙂
So true, Maitreyee :).
cute innocent replies.. 🙂
Thank you :). Welcome to my blog, Rat!
With a mom like you he will learn much more in times to come Rachna:)
Thank you Rahul for your faith in me though I must tell you that I am not as wonderful a mom as I project ;-).
My prediction.
He will be very successful POLITICIAN when he grows up.
Oh no! I don’t want ever want that.
that reminds me of Dennis (from Dennis the Menace) who used to say to his mom that you are world’s greatest mom and when asked why he thinks this way, he answers, because you are my mom 😛
It is such episodes which we remember & recall when these little angels grow up & move on.
So true Indu!
Ah, the little diplomat!
But so cute — he didn’t want to hurt mama.
Yes, he is cute and a brat :).
Fabulous
Thanks :).
