I had heard about this virtual farming game on facebook called Farmville which I joined only very recently. I have heard about Chinese delegates playing it during official meetings, people in offices turning to it during their boring conferences and recently of a divorce over the game when the husband stayed up all night stealing crops. Absurd and more absurd. I joined this game and stay in it because of my son who gets all excited when his Poinsettias flower or when he gets a virtual gift or when he gleefully fertilizes others’ plants and gets points for it. I dutifully login once a day to harvest my crops and to fertilize his. I feel no great affection towards it and addiction – far from it. I felt more addicted to Mental Blocks or Sudoku. What is the great skill in this game? Why is it so popular? I really fail to understand.
I have good mind to take out this Application if only my son would let me. To all the other addicts, it would help if instead of planting so many virtual plants; one real one is planted by you.
good thought . i second that
Thank you, Vani!
