Yesterday, to round up our long weekend; we paid a visit to Innovative Film City in Bidadi around 35 kms from our house. The roads are good so we managed to reach pretty fast. Why is it called film city? I don’t know if any film shoots take place there. It is more of a theme park with rides. Overall, enjoyable. There was a dinosaur park with decently real-looking dinos. Gautam was getting the jitters looking at them :). He was even scared for us going near them thinking that they were going to eat us 🙂

There was a mini golf course where gurdev and Siddharth tried their hand at golf. Poor Gautam, he feels left out of everything. I had to sit with him to calm him down. Then there was a gokarting place too. The family seater was a terrible old bat :). It doesn’t accelerate beyond a point and the course was shorter and hardly challenging. I had enjoyed my previous gokarting experience a lot more. Then there was a toy train kind of thing which was good for the kids.
The most fun was the mirror maze. It really looked like a bhool bhulaiya. We had to feel the mirrors to find the way forward and I came across people who seemed so jittery they were even touching other people to see if they were real :). One lady touched my arm gingerly. Did she think that I was a mirror of maybe a ghost :).
We skipped the water rides because Siddharth still had two exams remaining and I didn’t want to risk him falling sick. Gurdev also tried his hand at pot making which was more watching the potter make it. He would just let you touch it very gently and was hardly saying anything about how to make the pot. He did the whole stuff himself. We have brought the pot home and Siddhu is going to paint it in his vacations. Gurdev bought a scary, halloween kind of mask and Gautam really shrieked !
There was a 4D show too which the kids enjoyed. All the activities were over priced and definitely a rip-off to pay so much for the kids. Still, a good outing.
