  5. I agree that walking is great. Especially as a wildlife filmmaker, one needs to trek with lot of equipment. After reading your post, feel like walking even more. 🙂

  6. I remember when I did training for the London Marathon, I did a lot of research and included a lot of walking in my training. Only a bit less beneficial fitness wise, but massive *more* beneficial when it comes to less injuries!

    Navigated and read that post. Walking is one of the easiest and best exercises. And keeping a dog ensures that one can not help but walk. I prefer to walk to market or any place which is upto a kilometer or so. That gives me enough work out every day.

  17. If I didn’t take her for a walk my dog would be very disappointed and I’d feel very guilty. All those smells at poles, trees and on grass outside people’s homes tell her the most exciting stories which we humans wouldn’t understand. Hope your post inspires me to start walking a bit faster though.

  18. Rachna, walking is so incredibly calming to me as well, the early morning works, give my day a kick start. But then sometimes I do get lazy since my office starts at 8.30 🙁

  24. Wonderful post, Rachna! I walk a lot for shopping or going to the nearby courier service or going to the parlour or parents’ home and have an on-off affair with the treadmill too, but this post has some real nice pointers! Will try them out and be regular in my fitness regime! 🙂
