The media circus continues about the failure of the Indian cricket team in T20 WC. Get on with it and move to other things. This need to unnecessarily prolong such trivial things is a feature of late in the Indian media. People succeed and fail, teams succeed and fail. It is surely not an issue of national importance to be harped upon for days on end. Your strength as a person or team actually shows when you are down and out, when you are tested. Isn’t it true for all of us as people too. The Indian captain showed that strength when he took the criticism heaped upon him and his team in his stride. He knows that the crazy and passionate Indian fans have way too many expectations from the team and he is able to handle that.

His head was not inflated when his team was doing superlative work and he is not down in the dumps when the team is down. He will lift himself up and along with him the team too. A good leader is always one who inspires, is able to pat the backs of those who are not doing well and says come on better days will come.

Sometimes, in life too, when we fall, we don’t do well, all we need is a hug, a support, a warm smile to tell us that all will be fine.
