When I was offered to review the Snugg iPad2 Case, I was excited to lay my hands on a case that looked great on the website and flaunted great features. The shipment was FedExed to India from UK and reached me in less than a week, nicely wrapped!  And it did live up to my high expectations!

Okay, here are my first impressions. It looks very attractive and classy. I had asked for the Camouflage look with neat brown faux leather trims. The finish and craftsmanship are of top quality. It has a good blend of camouflage canvas and rich leather. Only later did I come to know that the leather is faux leather. Of course, it makes sense for if it were raw hide leather then the case would have to be more expensive! But they’ve done a great job with the leather. Oh, and not to miss the Lifetime Warranty card on the cover of the case.

I couldn’t wait to put my iPad in it and take it for a spin. Here are my reactions of the case when I inserted my iPad in it:

The iPad sits snugly and securely inside the compartment made for it. Nobody likes a wobbly tablet inside the case. Do they? All the buttons and ports are nicely accessible from the cut-outs made for them.  But this leaves the corners of the iPad slightly unprotected from those unlikely tumbles or if the iPad takes a knock on one of its corners. But still the case looks like it will absorb most of the impact of the fall.

The case looks and feels quite sturdy. It looks like it can save the iPad very well from the daily wear and tear of putting it in and taking it out of the backpack and placing things on it. This might be the reason why this case might be slightly on the heavier side. So, I wouldn’t be using it for reading e-books lying on my bed with this case on. But if you will be using it on the table with an external keyboard then it can very well replace your laptop.

An iPad 2 is no spring chicken. It is pretty heavy for a tablet. And it can get very tiring holding it for long durations by just clasping at its edges. Here comes the Strap to my rescue. The case has a nifty strap at the back. Which gives a good grip over the iPad when held in the hands for long periods. This, in my opinion, is one of the best features of this case.

The features of this case never seem to end. Do they? There is the automatic on-off feature. This is a nice feature by which the iPad goes into standby mode when the case is shut close and wakes up when the case is opened. There are pockets stitched in for keeping your visiting cards. Or if you want to use it as your wallet then you may keep your credit/debit cards. There is a pocket to keep some papers/money but only a few lest the iPad becomes unwieldy.

Overall, I would summarize by saying that this case is packed with features in its attractive, sturdy, compact and snug little package. I totally recommend it for the typical office executive who would look good with it or for the parent who might lend their iPad to their child for games. Just about anyone who owns a iPad 2 would be happy to have it.

It comes in a range of attractive colors and designs. There are many other excellent designs available for iPad2, iPad3, iPad4, all variants of iPhone, Samsung Galaxy tabs and phones and other popular tablets and mobile phones.
