Gautam and Sid’s cousins were visiting our home. They were here just for a day. And, they had an early morning flight to catch today. In the morning, when Gautam woke up, he looked in the bedroom downstairs where the kids were sleeping and said, “Mummy, they are gone!” I said, “Yes, they left when you were asleep.” He had a sad expression in his eyes and asked whether they left because he was being a bad boy. He had fought with his youngest cousin over sharing of toys. The funny part was that both of them are of similar age but were calling each other “baby.”
Anyway, I said that they had not left because you were not sharing your toys. But, if you want them to come again to visit you, then you have to be better behaved. He said that next time he will not do so and will share his toys. Well, I hope his promises are not like the slippery sand — one moment here and gone the next.

  1. so sweet of the little one….that is what childhood is all about. so sad that this phase is gone even before they realize it. a day would come when he would recall all this and may be both cousins will laugh over it.

  2. Oh, what a sweet little boy to question his behavior..as the first poster said, there will probably be a day when the cousins will have a great laugh over the situation…

@Cheryl He is cute but very naughty too. When he throws his tantrums, it is difficult to control him. People say that because he is the youngest, he is pampered. I consciously don’t pamper him, subconsciously I really do not know :).
