The Transformation

Tea has always been an inherent part of life for us Indians. No guest is sent away without the mandatory cup of chai with some namkeen and gupshup. Never mind the other drinks, tea continues to perk us up both in the mornings and during the day. And with the amazing health benefits of tea now being known, it gives us one more reason to drink more tea and enjoy this fragrant brew. These days, you get so many varieties of tea including green tea and flavored teas. Tata Tetley is one of the well-known and favored tea brands in this country and globally. I especially love their green tea and breakfast tea.

Considering that Tetley Green Tea has an association with being a tea that promotes fitness and health, it was no surprise that they launched an exciting concept called The Transformation in association with Jossbox.com. This is a unique reality web series that spans over 12 episodes. This takes place over 12 exciting weeks in Bangalore’s Fitness Fight Club and Circuit Force. Circuit Force is a renowned martial arts gym and a fitness training centre owned by ex-boxer and soldier, Austin Prakesh.

This is the first season of the Transformation. Here 19 contestants start on a journey from fat to fit spread over 12 weeks that is sure to transform not only how they look but their very outlook to how they lead their lives. This is a series that will take you through personal stories of great courage, victory, determination, will power, blood, sweat and tears.

This exciting series makes the contestants go through grueling training sessions in Martial Arts by experts in the fields of boxing, kickboxing and Ju Jitsu globally. They will also understand the importance of eating right and exercising correctly. The series will steadily take them through lifestyle changes to help achieve their fitness goals. Exciting individual and team challenges will see the elimination of the contestants every week. The viewers will not only be party to the stories of the contestants but can pick up valuable tips on fitness, nutrition and lifestyle as well. The series will reach its finale where one male and one female contestant will be crowned winners. The contestants for this series come from all walks of life and include radio jockeys, musicians, make-up artists, food critics among others. The challenge is to transform their lives and achieve athlete level fitness, no mean task mind you! They do it not only for their own fitness and health but also for a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh.

It is an interesting reality web series that holds a lot of promise for every age group. Do stay tuned to the The Transformation and remember to stay fit and healthy with Tetley Green Tea.

11 Thoughts on “Start The Transformation from fat to fit

  1. good luck to the contestents .. I think i will need to drink only green tea for a year to get back to THIN

  2. good luck with the contest Rachna!!
Green tea and I are NOT friends! πŸ˜›
Somehow, I cant seem to cultivate a taste for it :-/

  3. I had been taking Tetley green tea for a long time now. I prefer to add nothing, no milk, no sugar or honey, twice a day. Husband needs Leo coffee with milk in the morning and Tetley tea, just like mine in the evening! I can’t take anything else now. Took a full pack of tea bags to the US too and had it in the room itself in the mornings!

  4. I may sound condescending but most of the tea bags which say “green tea” are just tea dust. But I must say that I love my tea in its various avatars.

I love this idea of transformation…whether the contests win the prize or not, it is still a win-win situation for them.

    Good luck to them.

  5. I love such activities, unlike dancing or house arrest. Very healthy and yes, we love tea in any form.

  6. I LOVE tea, but I have yet to develop a taste for green tea. I am just lost when it comes to which brand to try. I will look up if this one is available.

Also, this show -Transformation, reminds me of the Biggest Loser in US, but I can relate to these people more.

    Thanks for sharing, Rachna. πŸ™‚
